Participant Application

Our after-school mentorship programs offer a unique opportunity for the youth of Cape Ann to come and learn the craft woodworking while also creating meaningful relationships with peers and mentors. We believe that hands on experience in the woodshop provides the opportunity to learn skills that are not necessarily taught in a traditional educational setting. Building something new and creating something beautiful instills not only a sense of confidence and accomplishment, but it also creates a platform to learn how to problem solve, be mindful of the details and practice resilience when a project doesn’t go as planned. Our hope is that the tangible skills learned and opportunities for growth will empower participants to fully engage in the world around them with confidence and integrity.

  • Our after school mentorship programs are co-ed and offered to teens, ages 13-seniors in high school.

  • Sessions are 4-months long, with classes held once a week

  • Classes are offered in two groups, meeting on Tuesdays or Thursdays. Participants will be grouped with similar aged peers.

    • When signing up for classes, please indicate if you have a day preference. Once sign ups are complete, we will assign class days by age groups.

*Our after-school mentorship program is offered free of charge to ensure access for all youth on Cape Ann. This is made possible through our generous donors. If you are able and interested in donating to support the continuation of our free youth programs, please click HERE.
